4 Early 2016 Nonwoven Conferences You May Want to Consider Attending

Conference_Blog_2016_FDI.jpgYour calendar is full…you are inundated with phone calls to return, emails to answer, spreadsheets to complete, vendors to contact and customers to satisfy.  But, in the midst of all that, you can’t ignore your own personal development.  And, truth be told, you can’t ignore that attending conferences to network with your peers and keep abreast of new industry techniques and technologies can have a positive impact on your company’s future.  Take a look at a few of the upcoming 2016 conferences that you may want to consider attending: 

RISE 2016: Research, Innovation & Science for Engineered Fabrics

When:  January 25, 2016—January 28, 2016

Where:  New Orleans, LA

Registration fees:  Before December 11, INDA members pay $1095 for full conference registration.  After December 11, members pay $1295.  Non-members pay about $500 more.

Why you should consider attending:  This INDA conference explores new trends and technologies in the nonwovens industry.  The conference highlights not only research but also new and emerging applications in the commercial world of nonwovens.  

Converters Expo

When: April 13-14, 2016

Where:  Green Bay, WI

Registration fees: Early bird attendees who register before February 1, 2016 get in for only $45.  Advance registrants from February 1 to April 4 pay $55.  After April 4 and onsite, you’ll pay $90.  If you want to exhibit, you’ll get a discount if you register before December 15.

Why you should consider attending:  There are typically over 100 companies exhibiting and many, many more attending.  It’s a terrific place to find converter-manufacturers, equipment and supplies and it’s a great networking opportunity.

IDEA 2016 International Conference and Exposition

When:  May 2-6, 2016

Where: Boston, MA

Registration fees:  Before March 31, 2016, INDA members pay $675 for a full conference and 3-day expo pass.  After March 31, the price goes up to $765.  Non-members pay about $300 more.  There are a variety of options for those who only want to attend the Expo.

Why you should consider attending:  High-profile speakers, over 450 exhibitors and over 7,000 attendees make this a premier conference in the industry.  The IDEA16 Awards winners will be announced at the conference.  Go not only to network with your colleagues and peers but also to be inspired by the ideas, business intelligence, new products and research you’ll encounter throughout the 5-day conference and Expo.

Wards Auto Interiors Conference

When: May 11, 2016

Where: Detroit, MI

Registration fees:  (Not yet published)

Why you should considering attending:  You’ll hear keynote addresses from top auto maker design executives and get a chance to network with the decision makers in automotive interiors.  Ward touts the event as the ONLY industry event dedicated to automotive interiors.
