Highlights:

 

This is the premiere global conference for the nonwoven textiles industry. More than 500 exhibitors from 43 countries include manufacturers of the latest and greatest equipment and processes, and presentations on various process improvements and industry issues such as dispersability definition and the flushing properties of wipes. The conference expects to draw more than12,000 attendees.

Innovative Nonwovens Conference

When:

April 27-30, 2014

Where:

Nashville Renaissance/Nashville Convention Center Complex

Nashville, TN

Highlights:

Co-located with Paper-con, this conference highlights both the differences and the similarities between paper and nonwoven textiles manufacturing. There are specific sessions devoted to the issue of wipes and flushability.

Converting and Bonding Conference

When:

May 6-8, 2014

Where:

Hyatt Regency Hotel

Greenville, SC

Highlights:

INDA’s annual conference showcases new technologies and processes used in the nonwoven manufacturing process, including meltblown and spunlaid examples. Engineers in the Automotive or Home Furnishings industries, or anyone with a particular interest in the needlepunch process for creating nonwoven textiles, will find this event worthwhile.

Introduction to Nonwoven Products and Processes

Highlights:

Provides an overview of the entire nonwoven textile industry, including market growth, industry vocabulary and the manufacturing process. The program includes a tour of the Nonwovens Cooperative Research Center, which includes a meltblown manufacturing line.

Highlights:

Presentations on all facets of the nonwoven textile industry, including R&D, processing, converting and recycling nonwovens. The conference also includes a large exhibition area where you can meet industry leaders and learn about new developments in the industry.

Fabric Property Development and Characterization

When:

September 8-11, 2014

The Nonwoven Institute

Highlights:

This course provides an in-depth analysis of how to develop and determine specific textile properties by varying the process. It also covers ways to influence and measure specific nonwoven textile characteristics, including basis weight, fiber orientation, moisture transmission, vapor transmission, tensile strength, flammability, basis weight, softness, abrasion resistance, compressibility and fiber diameter. This 3.5-day course offers 2.5 CEUs for those in need of certification or recertification.
