World of Wipes, the premier conference for the wipes industry, is all set to begin on June 16 in Atlanta, GA. From entry-level professionals to seasoned industry vets, this conference is the one to attend if you are a wipes manufacturer or converter.
Highlights of the conference include the Wipes Academy on Monday and Tuesday of the conference along with a variety of industry focus topics, including: wipes markets, wipes additives, substrates, opportunities and flushable wipes. The capstone event of the week is the World of Wipes Innovation Award™ presentations.
This two-day event is designed give an in-depth introduction to any professional interested in learning the nuts and bolts of wipes production. The Academy, led by Rob Johnson, PE, a wipes industry expert with more than 35 years of experience, focuses on everything from wipes design to production to packaging to cost implications.
Consumer and Industrial Wipe Markets
These morning sessions are led by industry experts from Nielsen, Inc., Johnson & Johnson, Suominen, Target, INDA and the Polymer Group. Topics range from makeup removers to generics to market facts and data.
Lotions & Potions
Wipes additives are a critical component of any wipes product. These afternoon sessions are led by experts from companies like Rockline Industries and Dow Chemical on topics ranging from natural ingredients to scents to preservation.
The substrates portion of the conference is led by experts from Biax-Fiberfilm Corporation, Suominen and others who will cover topics on textile waste streaming to wetlaid nonwovens to flushable technologies.
Innovating to meet marketing demands will be one of the topics during these afternoon sessions. Infectious threats, contract cleaning and wet wipes flexible packaging are other topics covered.
Flushability is still an important consideration in the wipes world. Industry experts from INDA, EDANA, Procter & Gamble and the Plainfield Regional Sewage Authority will provide important updates on this piece of the market.
World of Wipes Innovation Award™
This award has gone in past years to wipes that change color, wipes that sanitize and provide hands-free disposal and individually wrapped personal wipes for men. Nominees for 2015 include Clorox® ScrubSingles™ Kitchen Pads, Brawny Industrial® FLAX Towels and DuraDry®.
