The world is getting cleaner.  Or, at least, that’s where the global effort is focused.  According to water.org, one in ten people globally lack access to safe water.  That’s approximately 663 million people worldwide.  In low and middle-income countries, approximately 1/3 of all healthcare facilities lack a safe water source.

Nonwoven Applications: Driving Automotive Growth

EDANA estimates that automotive filters in just the European Union saves 2.6 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions each year.   They say that this savings just in filtration equals the reduction of 800,000 passenger cars on the road which is enough cars to line the length of over 87 marathons.    And that’s just in Europe. 

Nonwoven applications in automobiles are plentiful.  But where is there room for growth?

Is 2016 Slated to be a Profitable Year in Automotive Nonwovens?

Crude oil in December 2015 averaged from $36-$40/barrel.  Gas prices are plummeting all over the country; Michigan was the first state to have gas under $1/gallon in over a decade just a few days ago.  Interest rates are still low, people seem to have more confidence in the economy and North American automotive production is reaching record levels. Americans like their cars.
